How We Work

We work in the same manner that an architect starts planning a new house or structure - by asking questions. With a thorough understanding of the project requirements we can then provide the right solution, on schedule, and within budget. Our process follows five steps.

Discovery

What is the business or marketing objectives? How will they be measured? Who is the target audience? What is the users’ call-to-action? Questions and answers often create new ones. The exercise can be challenging but is necessary to have a complete picture. It’s homework and you’ve got some, too.

Definition

Form follows function and that applies to websites as well. The critical process of identifying, clarifying, and outlining the project details ensures expectations are met and ambiguity is minimized. The result of this process becomes the blueprint from which building begins. Fewer surprises are a good thing.

Design

Web Design involves the graphical design considerations including branding, message communication, imagery, page layout, color pallets, and typography. User Interface Design considers factors related to the users’ navigation through and interaction with the website. Graphic Design is about communication and User Interface is about experience. Together, they make websites effective marketing assets.

Development

Web Development comprises all of the technical aspects (HTML/CSS, coding, database) required to make the site work. The design and content are transformed for display on the web. Menus and links are created. Business logic is programmed. Security procedures are implemented.

Deployment

Before a new project launches, testing is essential and covers everything from content scrubbing to training and instruction.
